1. Do not rely on it. If the script was intended to be run only by
wscript.exe, then do that explicitly.

2. I am not completely convinced about installing these in the
diff/merge associations automatically. Just because a file has a .doc
extension doesn't necessarily mean it is a Word document. I have seen
quite a lot of text files with that extension, admittedly before Word
was quite as omni-present as it is now.

I would prefer to see these handled more like svn hook scripts. We can
provide the scripts and explain how to use them, but it is up to the end
user to install them or not.
