Hi
TSVN 3839 on On Win2K
I had struck a repeatable problem, in that the status icon was missing
on a checkout creating a new WC, even though TortoiseSVN recognizes the
folder as being a WC.
The process undertaken was as follows.
Added new repository "FaxService" to remote server svn 1.2.0
Import to new repos from local drive E:\Delphi\VendorCode\FaxService.
Change name of folder FaxService to FaxServicex to preserve original
files until checkout complete
Checkout from repos FaxService to nonexistent folder and allow creation
of new folder FaxService
Folder creates and populates with files and .svn folder, so its a
pristine WC of the new repository contents..
Right click on folder and TSVN has full board of selectable options,
i.e. Add, Check for Modifications, Update etc.
but icon never appears.
Navigate into and out of folder, hit F5, hold my breath , close then
re-open explorer view whatever and the status icon I expect on the
FaxService folder never appears. Icons for files and folders below
FaxService appear as normal unmodified icons.
Delete FaxService folder and repeat checkout, no difference.
Checkout to different named folder from FaxService repository and all is
fine. Icon appear as anticipated.
Delete FaxService folder and repeat checkout, no difference, icon cannot
be made to appear
Type this lot up, have a cup of coffee, repeat the import-checkout
process using a different repository name and checked out folder and
icon appears OK.
Delete FaxService folder, repeat checkout and now the icon appears as
designed.
So, it was a stubborn beast, for a while.
I'm clueless as to the cause or the reason for the problem evaporating
it's being reported for more educated contemplation.
Regards
Peter
