Hmm, did you update the tools.zip file recently? My TortoiseSVN/tools
folder does not contain awk, however I don't know when I downloaded
that.

After dropping awk.exe (from the link in subversion INSTALL file) into
my search path the toirtoise built worked. One error remains: "Der
Befehl "md5" ist entweder falsch geschrieben oder konnte nicht
gefunden werden."
