Hi all
Using v1.2.0-release on WinXPsp2.
My display drivers are pants. They're for an intel integrated chipset
of some sort. I run an extended desktop across two monitors. It
regularly forgets the settings. Anyway...
Today, when I booted, my second monitor was set to 640x480. I reset it
to its normal 1024x768. I also reset it's relative position to the main
monitor, by moving it down a bit.
I later did a merge, and whenever I clicked on show log for the from: or
to: revision boxes, the log window appeared out of the top of the
display area - I'd only see the bottom two thirds or so of the form. So
I would, each time, have to right-click its taskbar icon, remember to
use the arrow keys to move it back down, and do stuff.
I assume this is because the dialog was remembering where it had
displayed on the pre-reset second display...?
Can this please be changed such that either:
a) the dialog remembers its last position when OK or cancel or
whatever-dismissal-event happens, and opens at its last position
subsequently? This assumes the user puts it where he wants it the first
time, and it will open there again later.
b) the dialog puts its top-left corner at the top-left of the screen
that it's displaying on, _if_ a check determines that it's higher or to
the left of that origin when it opens. Ideally, it would resize itself
to the maximum size of the screen if it was previously trying to be
bigger (but on a per-dimension basis).
I don't know if this is the only dialog affected by this behaviour - is
it different because revision-number-picker log windows are modal?
