And you don't use a proxy at all - I mean not even for IE?

* Correct. All have "blank" settings.

Yes, that's very unlikely. I just wanted to make sure it's not some
intermittent DNS problem.

- can you do a fresh checkout of the project? (i.e. does only an update
fail?)

* Checkout failed. "Error Unknown hostname 'acme.com'"

- what happens if you enter the URL in the repository browser?

* Does not work either. Underneath the URL in the file section I get the
error "Error * Unknown hostname 'acme.com'"

- Can you access other repositories (e.g. the TSVN one)?

* Clicked on the tortoise to do the check out and after selecting a checkout
directory and clicking OK it got the following error messages:
"Error PROPFIND request failed on '/repos/tortoisesvn/trunk'"
"Error PROPFIND of '/repos/tortoisesvn/trunk': Could not resolve hostname
'svn.collab.net':"
"Error No such host is known. (https://svn.collab.net)"

Kind regards

Richard Moore

PS Have taken screen shot of the proxy settings and error message and can
zip and send to you if you would like.
