Oops, I have stupidly searched for "doubleclick" as a single word only :-(
In fact, I agree that "Unified diff" is rather esoteric action not
invoked often enough to justify making it the default one.
But I comlpetely do not buy "consistency" argument --
right-click+select option+left-click is just too much to do for
something so basic and useful as "Show difference".

The argument made in the thread you cited can be generally applied to
any application that uses double-click (such as Windows Explorer), and
it is perhaps true that double-click
IS harder to use to some people. I just do not think that TortoiseSVN
is the right place to fight this particular war ;-)
