This has been a frustration of mine ever since I applied the last two
TortoiseSVN updates (1.1.7 and 1.2.0).
Both updates were installed as Administrator, using “Everyone/ALLUSERS”
specified. I even uninstalled and re-installed 1.1.7, hoping this would
solve the issue.
The symptoms are that I am unable to get the right-click menu on any of my
folders when logged in under my usual (Power User) login. The right-click
menu is available under the Administrator login, but completely logging
out and logging back in everytime I want to update or commit is not a good
option for me.
The overlays appear to still be displayed, the extra SVN columns are still
available and displayed on the Details view.
AnkhSVN appears to work properly, although its functionality is limited
(it may be an old version). In any case, I would like to not have to be
stuck with using it.
I deleted the tree under HKEY_CURRENT_USER/SOFTWARE/TortoiseSVN hoping
that it would help resolve these issues (i.e. an ALLUSER installation may
be conflicting with user-specific settings), but it appears to not have
affected this at all.
Any ideas on what to look for on resolving this issue? It was working
just fine until I upgraded to 1.1.7. I have another machine running
TortoiseSVN 1.1.4, but I’m not touching the upgrade button until I get
this resolved.
