I presume Stefan is talking about doing proper locale-correct "sentence
case". I don't know an API call to do this, either.

This is of course a classic 'Bike Shed' argument, but I'd vote for leaving
it as it is - asking the OS for the name of the language in its native
language and presenting that to the user. I'm skeptical that we would, on
average, make things better by trying to apply some half-baked munging to
the return from that call.
