Ahem ... rewind ...

My working copy is updated so the top revision displayed is identical to
the WC. In fact let's have a concrete example from that repository I
sent this morning.

Select r102 and r109 and show the unified diff. There is a file added
and a file deleted, but there are also 2 files modified, test1.c and
test2.c.

r109 is the same as the WC, so if I select r102 and Compare with WC, I
should at least see test1.c and test2.c in the patch file list. I only
see test2.c there.

I have other test repos which do similar things. Files which show up in
the unified diff as changed don't appear in the patch list.
