I know you need more info to help with this, it was more a quick
question to just see if others saw similar behaviour or whether it was
just me.

Initial tests seems to suggest it has something to do with the
continuously refreshing explorer. I'll see if I can get a recipe for a
lock-up. It may not be a lock-up, just very slow reponse times due to
the continuously refreshing explorer so maybe if we can sort that out
then there may not be a problem.

I have a test repo (12k zip) and recipes which shows the problesm I've
been mentioning for the last week or so if you interested. It is an
fsfs repo. I had it created as c:\rh_svn_test accessed through file:///
protocol (as there are externals in it, so this is important)

a) 'Common' not getting modified icon when a file in an external is modified

  - Checkout 'file:///c:/rh_svn_test/trunk/Project1' to wherever
  - Browse to Project1/Common/external4
  - Edit test.txt in notepad (right-click on it I did). Save and close
notepad
  - test.txt gets a modified icon as expected
  - Press backspace or up to go back to 'Common'
  - Explorer view starts refreshing constantly so close the view

b) 'Common' not getting a modified icon

  - After doing the recipe for action a, kill TSVNCache through task
manager so it is empty
  - browse to project 1
  - press F5 a couple of times to force redraws which starts the cache
and puts overlays on the screens
  - Wait a few mintes, but common never gets a modified icon
  - browse to common, external gets a modified icon but view starts
refreshing
  - press backspace/up to get back to Project1, and Common does get a
modified icon shortly afterwards
