[TSVN] Merge of UTF-8/non UTF-8 files

Hi,

I'm a newbie with TortoiseMerge.
Sorry if this question has already been asked:

Is there a way to specify which kind of file encodings are to be used ?

TortoiseMerge seems to have some diffulties while merging non-UTF-8 files into UTF-8 files, for example when plain old
english files (ISO-8859-1) into translated files that use UTF-8.

Is this possible ?
