I have an idea, but not sure if that's really the reason for the
deadlock - I would expect a crash in such a situation.

Anyway: I've uploaded a debug build of the cache to
http://mapcar.org/tsvn-snapshots/
including the debug symbols. Can you try with that one again please
(sorry if I'm causing you too much work here).
