That's not really an option. You can't tell users to adjust the
contrast/brightness everytime they complain that they can't see a
difference. Just think about how many 'BUG: ' mails we will get if the
colors can't be separated clearly. Also, always think about people who
don't have such a good eyesight as you (e.g. my dad can't differ between
green and red ;) )

Honestly: I have no idea. That part of the code was contributed by
someone else (Jörg Mann).
