[TSVN] delete slow the first time.. issue with svn??

Hi. I noticed since I installed SVN when I have cleanly booted windows xp
and I delete a file for first the first time that boot, at any time, the
application in which I deleted it through freezes for a couple of minutes
(could happen in .net or the common dialog open in anything else - it just
happened in dreamweaver). Obviously it should delete instantly.

Is this a [known] issue with tortoiseSVN or could it be something else?

Any help is appreciated.
