Yes we do of course have antivirus, but have for the last several years
and have not experienced this. This is on 2 different workstations now
(with different antivirus vendors).

Are we supposed to exclude project folders from antivirus?

I guess this definitely is something for the Subversion list.
But just to make sure: you don't have another application running which
frequently locks files (virus scanners)?
