The recycle bin is a performance killer when deleting files. Our
working directories contain 18,000 files and are about 512Mb in size. A
few of these in the recycle bin, and when you delete the next, it takes
for ever and locks up Windows fairly well in the process.

Definitely empty the recycle bin often if you delete source trees with
.svn folders in.
