Can you resize the windows when they're like this (in the usual
drag-the-frame way)?

My guess is that it's remembered a pixel size at one resolution, which is
being inappropriately applied at the other resolution. We should probably
purge the stored dialog sizes when the resolution changes, but I doubt
anyone's going to see this as a high priority.
