[TSVN] Bug: Explorer.exe crashes when right-clicking on any icon in the quick launch toolbar

From: Mike Fahrenkrog <mfahrenkrog_at_pacbell.net>
Date: 2005-02-02 09:21:16 CET

Using: TortoiseSVN 1.1.3, Build 2502, UNICODE

If I right-click on any icon in the Quick Launch
toolbar of the windows taskbar, Windows Explorer.exe
crashes. All of the toolbars and icons disappear for a
few seconds (and explorer.exe disappers from the task
manager list) before reappearing. I am unable to
access the context menus for these icons, unless I
disable the TortoiseSVN context menu shell extension.

I used the ShellExView tool available at
http://www.nirsoft.net/ to isolate the TortoiseSVN
Context Menu shell extension. When the TortoiseSVN
shell extension is disabled via the ShellExView tool,
the problem goes away: I can right-click on any icon
in the quick launch bar and I get a context menu with
no explorer.exe crash. As soon as I enable the TSVN
shell extension, the problem re-appears.

Regards,
Michael
