If no revision is specified in the URL, then yes, HEAD is assumed.
Otherwise you can specify the revision directly with the URL (a
tooltip will indicate this too):

http://example.myserver.com/repository/branches/mybranch@1234

where in the example above 1234 represents the revision number.
