Ok, now I'm really confused. Why do you think I'm upset with _you_ now?
I've reread my mail and I couldn't find anything upsetting in there.

You have to add a foldername of course for the checkout to be created.
Hmmm - that would also mean that a checkout was possible before into an
existing wc: create a new empty folder and checkout into that.

Check out the Subversion docs about "nested layouts".
