Sorry, I meant the other way round. Log messages from history are always
prefixed to any existing text, not appended.

Feature request for the future:
It would be better if they were inserted at the cursor position.
If a message is being inserted before existing text, also append CRLF.
If a message is being inserted after existing text, also prefix CRLF.

The reason for this is that an existing message in the history box is
almost always a complete message, so pasting that in the middle of a
sentence almost never makes sense. So put line breaks to make it clearer
what is going on.
