[TSVN] 1.1.3 merge request

Stefan,

2447 and 2448 (particularly the latter) are fixes for serious problems I've
introduced into TSVN in the last few weeks.

Could they be ported into the 1.1.3 branch, please?

(I assume I could do this myself, if I knew how... - Am I right in
assuming I would need to checkout the 1.1.3 branch to a new WC and then
merge into that?)
