I was really, though I think that the SVN's team's description of the
difference in philosophy is exactly right, and neither side should make any
apology for it.

TSVN would be almost useless if it developed on the same timescales as SVN
- it's got from nowhere to great in a very short time, and is fantastically
responsive to user requests and bug reports, if you're prepared to run a
nightly.

However, I also think that TSVN would be useless (or at least unused) if
the underlying version control system was developed in the TSVN style.

Vive la difference, as I believe they say in France.
