That's by design. Following shell links turned out to be a real
nightmare which lead to all sorts of crashs, Subversion not working
properly, ... so we got rid of that 'feature' very early in the
development process of TSVN. Also, some people like to version those
links - and those links are really normal files (just treated specially
by the shell). So to be able to version those links, we can't 'follow'
them - it's either that or the other, both is not possible.
