[TSVN] Zip programs slowing down TSVN?

Hi folks,

I have just witnessed a dramatic speed up of TSVN, or rather of the
explorer updating its icons. Previously it took around 1-2 seconds of
disk thrashing to get the overlays to appear on a folder which contains
several WCs. A bit faster 2nd time around due to caching, but still
feels slow.

About half an hour ago I uninstalled WinZip 8 and 7-Zip 3.13 because I
like WinRAR better, and suddenly ... no delays.

I have had WinZip installed for years and added 7-Zip only a few months
ago, so I suspect it may have been 7-Zip doing it. Or maybe it was too
many shell extensions pushing my feeble 64M memory over the edge.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Simon
