That's very strange. If the CL client throws an error, then TSVN usually
does that too.

So here's what I tried (can't 'move' a repository to another location
really, but...):

- create a repository
- add some files and folders
- commit
- set svn:externals to 'extfolder http://192.168.2.2/svn/testrepo'
   (that computer has a valid repository at that url)
- commit
- update the working copy: the externals are fetched as expected.
- remove the working copy
- shut down the computer 192.168.2.2
- checkout the working copy again:
   it hangs for about 5 seconds when it tries to fetch the externals,
   then I get an error dialog 'PROPFIND: ...'

Can you try again with the latest?
Oh, and just 'latest nightly build' doesn't really help. Even in one day
there are sometimes many changes in TSVN so at least the date or better
the build number would be needed.
