Dear TortoiseSVN community,
We've been using Subversion and TortoiseSVN in our group for about a month
now. What a great software! However, as always, we've encountered some
problems, too. We run subversion on Debian Linux server with apache2 and
it's basic authentication, plus WebSVN too. TortoiseSVN runs on a Win2000
Citrix Metaframe server. Software versions are the latest ones. Browsing
the archives didn't give me answers to these questions:
1. I'm trying to move files into new subfolders within a repository while
keeping their version history, as guided in
http://tortoisesvn.tigris.org/docs/TortoiseSVN_en/ch04s13.html with right
mouse-button drag-and-drop. However, in the submenu that opens the only
Subversion command is "Subversion Export here". The option "move files in
Subversion to here" is not there. I've tried in various ways, moving stuff
to versioned and non-versioned subfolders but it doesn't help. In my local
Windows test installation the full menu is displayed with Move option. Can
you help me?
2. We have one (and only one) user that for a mysterious reason is not any
more prompted for username and password when committing. What might be the
reason?
3. Just curiosity: are there other Subversion users in medical/clinical
research? It might be fun to exchange ideas regarding how Subversion can be
utilized in this controlled & conservative field.
regards,
Mika
