[TSVN] Installation problem

Hello all,

I'm new to tortoise and have just downloaded
TortoiseSVN-1.1.1-UNICODE_svn-1.1.1.msi from the website and installed it
on a machine running XP pro (SP1).

The installation seems quite strange

The StartMenu, All Programs>Tortoise shows only three alternatives "Help",
(which proves to be for TortoiseSVN), "TortoiseMerge", and "Website". There
is no mention of tortoiseSVN.

Locating and running what seems to be the tortoiseSVN executable
binary TortoiseProc.exe produces a splash screen confirming that
it is TortoiseSVN 1.1.1 build 1857 with two buttons labelled "Check for
updates" and "OK". Clicking on OK causes the splash screen to disappear
from both the screen and task manager leaving no obvious signs of activity.

I have installed both as Administrator and as an ordinary user with similar
results, and can find no reference to this behaviour in the mailing list
archives.

A copy of the contents of my TortoiseSVN>Bin directory is attached

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Cheers
Tony
