Instead of a drop-down, how about putting a browse button as is done
elsewhere in the UI? This could then initiate the procedure and pop-up a
selection dialog. Having it in a dialog would allow for a better UI that
shows this extra information. It could also allow the user to select
multiple tickets and properly bring back those selections in a
comma-separated list.
