Right. Even though WinXP can replace files in use, all other OS versions
can't and therefore need a reboot.

That's for official releases, yes. For nightly builds I'd recommend an
uninstall first and then a reboot. Because I can't gurarantee that a
simple update without uninstalling first will work.
