In fact, the product ID _is_ updated, but the version information isn't
recognized by the msi as a new version (only the fourth part changes,
and msi uses only the first three).

> Then reboot your PC, as recommended by the installer.

Rebooting between uninstalling and reinstalling isn't necessary. A
reboot after the reinstall is enough.
