Hello fellow hard-asses ;-)

-=> Just tried SVNService
-=> If you try to run svnserve from SVNService a pitfall may be
-=> the start mode of the service:
-=> On my Win2k machine the service was set to manual start
-=> after installation.

Ahh...yes, definite gotchya.

-=> (maybe also an issue for the docs? Sure I am/will not be
-=> the only one trying this and the SVNService site does
-=> not provide a mail link to have it noted there.)

I submitted a patch to the svnserve docs a while ago to
mention SVNService (as well as Firedaemon) as there
seemed to be regular requests (and replies) on the svn
users mailing list about it.

Must confess that I've only used Firedaemon, for the
simple reason is that it worked first time, hasn't failed
in nearly a year of production use and is a breeze to use.

Thanks for the update Albrecht, I tested on my XP SP1 box
and yes, SVNService installs as manual service, so the
amendment to the documentation was contradicting the
existing work :(

Patch attached.
