I don't like the idea of using the .NET framework. It might be good
enough for apps that only run on XP, because there you can at least
assume that the computer is fast. But on all other systems (including
mine right now) the .NET framework is just too slow! Especially if you
have an app that only is used for a few seconds and then exited -
several times a day like TSVN. For an app that stays up it might not
be such a problem, but for TSVN it would be. (the .NET framework takes
a very long time to load - once it's loaded it is fast enough).
