TortoiseSVN 1.0.8, Build 1430, MBCS
Subversion 1.0.6, (r10360)
apr 0.9.5
apr-iconv 0.9.5
apr-utils 0.9.5
berkeley db 4.2.52
neon 0.24.7
OpenSSL 0.9.7d 17 Mar 2004
zlib 1.2.1

...and Windows 98

Using svn: protocol to a Linux server.

I've taken another look now...
If I right-click the icon for the folder containing the branch, I can get a
merge menu item. If I open the folder and right-click on the window
background, I can't. So there is a way of getting there, but
it seems reasonable to expect the same menu from the folder's icon and the
open folder's background. I normally reach the open folder via a shortcut,
and the shortcut doesn't give me the same menu at all (understandably).

I've now got a desktop shortcut to the parent folder of the development
directory which will make things easier now I know what to do.
