That's not a good idea! If the update is done automatically before a
commit, then you might get conflicts which you haven't resolved on
commit yet. Also, you _never_ should commit without having _tested_ what
you updated before. It could easily happen that someone else changed
something which now breaks what you just want to commit.

And what the hell is this garbage below your mail?
First: If you're starting a new subject on the mailing list, NEVER reply
to an existing one. Because that will add your mail to that specific
thread, and it doesn't belong there.
Second: Even if you reply to a mail, always cut away what you don't
really need anymore of the quote.
