You could remove the msgremove line from the script. It just clears some
strings which need no translation, like "..." and " ".

Well, I did nothing special. It just-works(tm) for me, but I'm using
dxgettext and not gettext. Maybe they are slightly different?!?

I will :-), but I can only recreate the pot file from an older revision
of the repository. This would give us at least 95% of the current
language strings. My best guess is that you remove the msgremove line
from makepot.bat for the time being and continue to work.
