How do I find out the status of this patch? One of my colleagues has reported a similar problem, and I would like to see if this fixes it.

Thanks for that. I could produce a stacktrace of that containing files
and line numbers which I sent to the subversion mailing list.

And Tobias Ringström already posted a patch which fixes that crash -
don't know when this patch is committed to trunk and when (or if?) it
gets backported from trunk to 1.0.x though...
