That makes sense, but how much time does it take to parse the files in the
wc to see if they match the pattern?
What I'm doing generates lots of intermediate files, and occasionally some
of these have the same extensions as the code I've written. I have now
configured it to write the temporary files to another folder, this is not
quite as convenient for me to work with but is probably better practice - so
amongst it's other virtues TSVN is prompting me to be more rigorous.
