[TSVN] Language files & ISO country codes

I have a small question about the new i18n.

Excerpt from
http://svn.collab.net/repos/tortoisesvn/trunk/src/translations.txt:

"...Rename Tortoise.pot to Tortoise_xx.po, where xx is your two letter ISO
country code. ... The German PO file would be named Tortoise_de.po..."

I believe a language in this method is designated by using both the language
code
('de' in the excerpt) and the country code (should be 'DE' for Germany).

The example above is indicative of the need for using the full name of a
language -
there could be a translation to Swiss German or Austrian German also.
("de_AT" and
"de_CH" respectively IIRC). Another notable examples are "en_US" and
"en_GB",
"pt_PT" and "pt_BR".

Would it be more precise naming the translation files using the full
language codes?
