[Subclipse-users] Installing subclipse via dropins

Hi,

I am trying to install the Subclipse plugin (v1.10.x) via the 'dropins'
functionality in Eclipse. This seems to be the only method of installing
that does not require the Eclipse IDE, and that can be scripted.

My problem is that it's no longer possible to install a plugin to a
separate location. I used to do this, ZIP the external folder and create
the dropin from that.

Has anyone else had any success with installing subclipse as a dropin? Is
this something that Subclipse could start producing for each release?
Is there an alternative that allows for unattended installation/updates of
the plugin for bulk update/installation?

Eclipse 3.7.2

Cheers,
