[Subclipse-users] svnversion functionality available?

Is the "svnversion" functionality available in the Eclipse SVN Plugin too? I couldn't found any information about this.
I need this to make sure, that version is identical to the checked in. The Rev-keyword doesn't make this job. (The M flag is missed in case file has been modified).
Unfortunatly I can't simply install a (recent) svnversion package, as my ubuntu is to old. And the available one isn't compatible to the new (and required) 1.7 SVN plugin.
Can someone give me a hin - I shouldn't be the only one with this problem.
