If you are using Subclipse 1.8.x (which I would highly recommend) this is
not needed.

I just cannot seem to get the TEAM context menu to work.

What does that mean?

I was sure that previously all I did was delete my projects and re-import

If Subclipse is installed, and you import a project that it recognizes as a
valid SVN working copy, then it will auto connect it. Otherwise, you need
to use Team > Share. That said, if you were expecting it to auto connect,
then Team > Share is also probably not going to do what you want.

If you have Subclipse 1.8.x installed, then it needs to be a Subversion 1.7
working copy format.

If you install Subclipse AFTER the projects are already in your working
copy, those projects will NOT be auto-connected. However, as long as they
are a valid SVN working copy, then doing Team > Share will do the right
thing and simply connect them.

Have you tried adding an SVN repository in the Subclipse perspective and
see if you can browse it and view history? That would at least allow you to
know that Subclipse is installed and working.
