[Subclipse-users] [Subclipse-users] commit notification

Hi all,
what's about this new feature (may be it's already there and I've overseen
it ?):
subclipse marks all items in the Package Explorer View to show there are
commits at the server which aren't already updated. So that you can see, if
a commit would let to a conflict. Of course this is applicable only in local
networks, but that's not to little.

I know there are some tool monitoring the server by polling the differences
(CommitMonitor, SVN-Monitor). But they do thier job by polling, which may
not be acceptable in cases of big repositories, repositories in www, many
clients.

As fas as I know is the subversion server able to start scripts just after a
commit occured, so it may possible to notify all clients in local network by
broadcasting, or each client has to login itself on startup with his ip
address and some port number and the server-commit-script notify each client
separately.

Then it's up to the client to receive this notifications and transform them
to a usefull marking of files and folders in different views in eclipse.

Wouldn't it be a nice feature ;)
