Yes. Subclipse has always used an odd/even numbering scheme. It was
pure coincidence that the 1.6.x releases had the same major/minor
numbers. The version of Subclipse for SVN 1.5 was Subclipse 1.4 as an
example. We release independent of Subversion so there is no way to
keep the release numbers in synch and we do not try.

FWIW, the version number of the JavaHL plugin matches the Subversion
version, which makes sense since that is the part that provides the
Subversion API.
