Is it really worth it? It seems just as likely to cause problems as
solve them. I recall the Eclipse UI does not have any explicit action
you can take to make it editable. It either is or is not. I could
see users not expecting it to be editable and accidentally start
typing commit message in that window and not realize it etc.

What does Mercurial do to indicate a save is needed? Does it just
save changes without asking?
