It's been awhile since the commit dialog showed the resources in a table with columns for text and property status. It's true that you can't sort by these text/property status with the new dialog, but you should notice that you can tell the difference by the decorators. Text changes are indicated by the outgoing arrows on the right, while property changes are indicated by the "little green box" overlay on the left.
