[Subclipse-users] Connect to repository vs Import (prevent accidental commit)

Hello,

in the user interface of Subclipse there's no distinction between
connecting to an existing project in a repository and doing the initial
import of a project. I just checked in a bogus directory because I made
a typo in the path.

Before presenting the dialog with the commit message for an Import,
Subclipse should check if the path already exists in the repository. If
it doesn't, continue with Import. If it does, present the "already
exists, doing checkout" dialog.

Alternatively, add a separate action for connecting to an existing repo
location, which fails if it doesn't exist (accidental commit impossible).

Also it would be nice if the checkout could run in the background.

Cheers
Andreas
