Thanks for the reply Mark and apologies for the multiple posts on the same topic.

I understand now. I was indeed trying to connect to a CVS repository b/c I didn't see the SVN repository perspective initially.

I did successfully set up the SVN repository connection to beanstalk and it seems to be working well now.
