[Subclipse-users] Templates and svn:ignore

Hi,

The project that we are managing with subclipse has certain configuration files that need to be different for each developed of the project. After some research on how to do this, we have opted for using svn:ignore on the config folder, which requires deleting the folder from the repository.

New developers that may join will need to have a template version of this config folder that they could modify when they first check out the project. The way we do it now, we will need to give them manually this folder to they can add it to their working copy, and make sure the folder is marked as "ignore" so it won't be recreated in the repository.

So my question is, is there any way to do this with subclipse? I read some FAQ in the subversion web site that mentions the use of templates, but it is so abstract that I can' figure out what they mean.

Thank you!

Tomas
