RE: [Subclipse-users] Mysterious JavaHL

Here's another interesting piece of the puzzle:
The blocking factor in the workspace, that prevents JavaHL from ... loading? or maybe just displaying? is that preferences file, org.eclipse.ui.prefs located in <workspace>/.metadata/.plugins/org.eclipse.core.runtime/.settings

If I delete that file, and load Eclipse, it currently displays JavaHL (JNI) 1.5.6, as opposed to JavaHL (JNI) Not Available.

I'm really baffled on this one, considering the only two lines that are in the org.eclipse.ui.prefs file are:

eclipse.preferences.version=1
showIntro=false
